CHILDBIRTH CLASSES
A 4 week, 3 hour per evening series covering the following:
- How the body changes during pregnancy
- The process of normal birth
- The emotional needs of a laboring woman
- Relaxation and comfort measures during labor
- Interventions in labor
- The importance of support during labor
- An evidenced-based look at the use of pain medication
- Pushing positions and techniques
- Breastfeeding
- Parenting
- Informed Consent
- Postpartum changes and care
FEES
4 week childbirth class -- $60
Private, in-home class (6 hours)-- $100
BIRTH DOULA SERVICES
- Free consultation to answer questions and discuss doula services is more detail.
- Once contracted, 2 or 3 meetings in person to discuss your goals and preferences for your labor and birth. I can recommend resources to answer any questions you may have.
- Available by telephone 24 hours a day to answer your questions and to stay in touch about your progress.
- Once labor begins, I will meet you either at your home or the hospital and will stay with you through your entire labor and birth.
- Stay with you one to two more hours after birth, and I can visit you while you are still in the hospital, if desired.
- Postpartum meeting 2-3 weeks after the delivery to discuss the birth and take care of any unfinished business.
- Referrals to other professionals who work with pregnant women, including massage therapists and chiropractors, if so desired and with the approval of your care provider.

POSTPARTUM SUPPORT
In-home care, offered during the day, which includes the following:
- Breastfeeding Support
- Newborn care
- Light housecleaning
- Sibling care
- Help with errands and trips outside of the home
- Home organization
- Emotional support of the mother

Package deals (or what I like to call "swaddles" are also available! For instance, if you hire me to be your birth doula as well as for 10 hours of postpartum support, the total cost would be $475 (versus $530 if priced separately). How awesome is that?
Arrangements can be made for payment plans as well as other fee structures if necessary. Please do not let cost be an issue. Talk to me and I will work with you. Gift Certificates are also available.
